AFRO FILM ALLIANCE SET TO CHANGE THE AFRICAN NARRATIVE:
African film makers are ready to shine through Afro Film Alliance (AFA) which is the film component of Africa Celebrates
The major goal of AFA is to create a single platform for filmmakers across the continent and the diaspora to collaborate on Pan African film initiatives, telling the correct African stories through a collective effort with the objective of bringing about a deeper understanding of African rich cultural heritage. AFA aims to challenge and change the negative narratives often portrayed by non-Africans about Africa. We Africans must tell our own stories.
AFA this year will have a forum and short film screening featuring young film makers across Africa. Already, over 300 entries have been received from 81 countries from around the world
The winner of AFA short films 2024 will win an all expense paid trip to AFA/Africa Celebrates 2025.
