Had the chance to experience I Know How to Curse: A Re-Blackening of Shakespeare by Gerrad Alex Taylor tonight — and wow. What stood out most was how boldly the performance challenged space, identity, and visibility for Black artists within classical theater. It was sharp, funny, uncomfortable in the right ways, and deeply intentional. Unexpectedly got pulled on stage (definitely wasn’t ready 😅), but it reminded me how powerful it is to just step into the moment — even when you’re nervous. Appreciate the experience and the work behind it. Definitely looking forward to seeing what’s next. #blacktheater #onstagemoments #DMVArts #storytellingmatters
