🦋🌿Dancing at Dusk🌿🦋 - swipe for process!! When @nicopalmcrantz asked if they could draw their lil troll Tusse with my troll Skrall, how could I say no?? I ended up loving one of Nico's sketches so much I asked in return if I could render it, and this is the result weehee 🥹 💖 Tusse and Skrall are out in the magical forest, dancing and leaping and chasing the Twiliflies in the warm summer air 🦋 Skrall adores hanging out with Tusse, the two will often be seen racing through the undergrowth, bells jingling madly as Tusse's laughter echoes off the rocks! But sometimes other trolls find the pair sleeping in the moss or grass, or even practicing martial arts in concentrated silence. There's a time for everything, and right now it's time for fun and games!! 🎶✨ I tried more hand drawn BGs, in the style of @nesy_hide this time! I really liked the blobby black frames and simplistic greenery they draw! I don't think I entirely succeeded with this attempt, but it was a fun experience that taught me a lot 😄💖 Also please check out Nico's other sketches of these two on their Cara!! If you’re not familiar with the story of Treasure Island, Silver is the villain of the story. He’s the cunning leader of the pirates, tricks his way onto the ship and use the main character Jim to get his revenge. However, even in the original, he is somewhat of an anti-villain and morally gray figure, which we’ve leaned into even more in this version of Treasure Island. And this scene is one of my favorites, as it shows all of this. Meet Marcas - probably the most important person in Eòin’s life. He taught him how to cook and basically raised him when Eòin joined Flint’s pirate crew. Marcas is also from Scotland so the two would always speak in their native tongue and he gave Eòin the kilt he’s still using. Had Marcas remained in Eòin’s life it would have been a very different story. Growing up Eòin/Silver didn’t really learn how to handle sadness. He was either told to not feel it at all or to keep it private, so his way to deal with it was keeping it bottled up until it turned to anger and violence he could use while on raids. - - His age in the pictures are ~4, ~14 and ~30. Eòin and Silver, the same man and yet very different. Eòin is his happier, more innocent side. The man he wants to be and probably would’ve been had he not been forced into a life of piracy. Silver is his cruel and ruthless side, the one he had to become to survive, a part of him that he can’t really get rid of even though he tries. Made this for the prompt dark/light OC, and since he’s both I couldn’t really choose which version to make. Plus a little coin magic-trick.
