Want to get free copies of my children's book Native Bees? I'm giving out 30 copies tomorrow along with pollinator plants, coloring pages, and native bee houses- maybe presents for mother's day!
At Maine's Downeast Seacoast Mission Cherryfield campus. 10 am to noon.
This free all ages story and activity time offers education about the beneficial insects in our yards.

Salamba Sirsasana • Supported headstand pose • In Quebec we walked on a trail during sunset, and the trail appeared to eventually become a long stripe of rainbow! The sky phenomenon is called a light pillar, and it is created by ice crystals! They only appear during sunrise or sunset. 🌈

🟠 The last photo is of a frog that happened to be holding a sparkling round quarts crystal in its right hand. Maybe it is a wizardess? 🔮
There was something so especially sweet about the encounters I had helping amphibians across the road last night.
The first photo is of a red eft who rolled over like a dog to show me the yellow on his belly. Apparently by doing this they communicate to predators that they are bright and are therefore poisonous to eat.
There was the red eft who had found a worm. Efts eat worms, but this was probably too big for it to eat!
The twinkling rain and fog made for a beautiful close-up portrait of one frog.
I came across 19 peeper frogs, 4 red efts, 1 wood frog, 1 toad, and 1 red salamander. 🐸🤍
