How to transpose Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes’ roguelite experience into sound?
That’s the challenge our composer Nicolas de Ferran (@nicodeferran ) embraced while creating a brand-new take on the musical world of Battlestar Galactica 🎶
Last November I had the great pleasure to perform my music with an amazing string trio, to the images of Rintatō's Metropolis. That was so much fun and such a fulfilling experience. Also very stressful to the point I almost went insane. 105 minutes of music sync'd to pictures was a lot to write and produce in such a short time, not mentioning juggling with other big projects... and taking care of two kids :)
A project with very limited media reach/ exposure but it will remain etched in my memory forever, undoubtedly one of the most important projects of my career on a personal level. What a challenge!
I'm working on an album with my friends from @ceramicrecords so hopefully you'll be able to all enjoy this music soon!

This EP was crafted with love during quiet, solitary studio sessions.
I didn’t grow up on drum’n’bass, but I’ve always been intrigued by how its rhythms can blend into other genres. I’m drawn to the contrast between the fast and the slow, and The Glow You Left Behind is my way of exploring that space.
I hope these songs resonate with you as much as I enjoyed creating them ❤️
