It’s been about a year and a half since @mack_books released “The Local” it has been such a pleasure sharing it with everyone and being able to meet new people as a result of it being out in the world. Apparently @mack_books is totally sold out from their UK website, but there are still copies available through their US website. I will include the link in my bio when I am back in a WIFI zone. In the meantime don’t miss your chance to grab one of the last copies from them.
Good Bones by Nick Meyer
Back in stock online now and in-store tomorrow!
Good Bones uses images seen and made over the past 7 years to try to find a way to navigate a moment in time. The pictures are made in the world but without an idea of place in mind. Rather, through, sequencing, they are taken out of context to form a new understanding of the world around us in the hopes of finding an optimistic future.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and people who mother, caretake, labor, listen to us scream and cry, bandage us up and nourish us. We literally wouldn’t be here without you. Extra special happy day to @specialfave@worksonpapershop for all the mothering at my house. And extra happy day to my own sweet mom.
The newest episode of Book of the Week is here! Luke is joined by Nick Meyer to discuss one of his favorites, A Dialogue with Solitude by Dave Heath.
Nick recently came to VCP to give a talk on his newest book, Good Bones, but this time turns his attention to one of the books that has most inspired and guided his work.
If you're interested in watching the full conversation, or if you missed Nick's recent artist talk and want to hear more about his own books, you can find both on our YouTube at the link in bio.
