The views and the heat at Kalbarri National Park were absolutely wild! I was a little bummed to have missed the sunrise at the Nature’s window just by a few minutes but that’s okay because the lookout was already packed! Still what a beautiful place this was! Grateful to have @calumbw exploring this beautiful national park and battling the flies with me!

Fought every instinct to stay in bed as alarms went off at 2:30am. But we layered up, hopped into a jeep, and our guide drove us through dark and winding mountain roads—it felt like moving out for night ops from national service days. We continued on foot through the line of jeeps to the rest stop on King Kong Hill, where we waited with a hot bowl of Indo mee—somehow tasted way better than it should’ve in the cold!! Then came the moment as we wedged our butts into the soil and watched the sky drift from darkness to gold. Even without the dramatic sea of clouds, it was something else!
Maybe that’s the thing… it doesn’t always have to be epic.. Sometimes, just trying something new, being with the right people, feeling the chills gently shift to warmth, and seeing that first light across the horizon… that was enough…

I mentioned to a few friends last year that i’d come back to Saigon with the intention to photograph. Back then i wasn’t sure when or how. But i booked my flight less than a week before i left. Some would know I was also on the fence about this trip.
But after a few days of walking the busy streets of Saigon, something shifted. From roofs of local markets made from umbrellas or corrugated metal to the quiet and simple life tucked in the alleys, this place reminded me of what it feels like to slow down, observe and really see — a privilege, i know, to be able to say this.
I wasn’t expecting much but i am deeply grateful for this little spark.
