It’s 7 years today Rocky’s been gone.
Every year, this day is significant but it’s different this year since me & him were friends 7 years.
Since this is a tradition for me, I thought I’d recount some stories.
Love you, bro. Feeling your loss everyday. 🙏
Jet Li was my closest friend, Rocky’s, favorite martial artist.
I wasn’t a fan of Jet Li when I was a kid, but because of Rockys influence, I became a huge supporter.
After Rocky passed away, I was in a perpetual grieving state, unable to see that although his presence was greatly missed, he was in a better place…Heaven, eternal salvation.
As odd as it sounds, a Jet Li movie helped me to realize that…& ever since, I go back to that memory whenever his absence becomes too overwhelming.
Happy late 60th birthday to the GOAT, & for helping to get through the toughest time.
Blessings & sending strength to those that have lost close ones who have been in the same situation. 🙏
