Commercial Water Service rough in yesterday went pretty smooth! We rolled up and punched a few holes thru concrete foundation walls while the excavator prepped the trench to the tie in point where we installed a reducer on the 4” ductile iron main. From there we pulled a 2” 200 PSI poly line up into the mechanical room and installed a shutoff and a hose adapter for temp water during construction. Once the water cannon was ready the water department opened the curb valve at the street and we purged the line and sent water FLYING! Stay tuned for more content and updates on projects like this one! #work #construction #build #plumber #piping #waterservice #reels #jobsite

So far, over the course of 10 months we’ve relocated this 2” water service 3 times and this still won’t be its final destination!! First it was roughed in to sit exposed thru the floor just in front of the wall with enough room for the meter and backflow to be installed in the mechanical room… Then it was moved into the wall to be extended up at a later time…It froze over the winter and framing was in the way of reinstalling it temporarily so it’s offset back out in front of the wall….Now that the mechanical room was deleted from the 1 floor and everything will have to be relocated to the Attic above to make more room for kitchen equipment… Can’t make this stuff up Anyways how’s some of your jobs coming? Dealing with architects and engineers that can’t make up their mind or is that just us?
We’ve been running around lately and that’s why my posting has been slacking… Works been getting done tho don’t worry about that! Hopefully this year I can get back on track and keep you guys in the loop with what’s getting installed and wrapped up so stay tuned!! #plumbing #build #construction #nickdaplumber
Snowy Start to this winter but that hasn’t slowed us down! Underground’s in the snow is less than ideal but hey it beats sweating! I honestly love the snow and something about trimming out a brand new build on a snowy day with the fireplace on is totally a vibe!! Stay tuned for a more in depth view of some of our recent projects! #plumbing #work #nickdaplumber #build #construction
Simply put, there’s A-LOT that goes into a project before concrete is poured.. and many times the hard work involved is taken for granted! Not to mention the precision things need to be installed at and while everything looks easy on a drawing on the computer, not many can translate that into the trenches out in the elements under the pressure of deadlines and numerous changes along the way….I haven’t been posting much on here lately but that’s because we’ve been buried in it lately trying to appease everyone and keep things moving. But the reality is, deadlines are just a date on the calendar and it’s never worth it to sacrifice your quality of work and your reputation for an unrealistic timeline… that being said we work long hours and productive days trying to meet those deadlines just so we don’t have to hear it and so we can prove it to ourselves that we still got it but at who’s expense? It’s kinda crazy how the more you do the more it’s expected… This post isn’t about just one job, or builder, or client… it’s the construction industry as I see it… Stay tuned I’ll be roughing in a few more underslabs for new homes these next few weeks because why stop when there’s snow on the ground? #plumbing #plumber #construction #build #nickdaplumber
I install these in EVERY HOME we work in!! @brasscraft makes the best water stop valves, and they offer them in a variety of connections and finishes! So whether I need expansion Pex stops for under a kitchen sink or IPS Threaded stops for my lav and toilet supply’s, I reach for Brasscaft! Quality you can see in the details and confidence in a company that’s been around for decades! Check out my link in bio to see what @brasscraft has for your next project! #brasscraft #plumbing #ad #plumber #trim #jobsite #construction
It’s been a busy week so far! As always a little bit of everything, a lot of productive bouncing around and keeping things moving! I even got to do some trim outs on a home we’re wrapping up! It’s been a while since I usually delegate the trim work to some of our more patient plumbers lol but it was nice to know I can still squeeze into these cabinets and get things piped up nicely!!! #work #plumber #plumbing #construction #jobsite #tradesman #build #trending
Started a new project this week and spent the last two days up on a roof demoing gas piping to 9 rooftop units and making adjustments to the main piping to accommodate the new placement for the 12 rooftop units that they’re putting in… Swinging wrenches to break apart some 2” rusty fittings felt good! It’s been a while lol thankfully had the @milwaukeetool Cheater Pipe Wrench, which is kinda cheating lol #nothingbutheavyduty #plumber #milwaukeetools #NBHD #piping #construction #build #work
Photo Dump from some of the jobs I tackled this week so far with the boys… Started off with a underslab roughin in a basement of a new home with @montanacontracting and then right into a full cast iron demo and Repipe in PVC.. another home bathroom renovation with some relocated plumbing everywhere because why not change everything lol.. oh and today I wrestled with a steam generator for a shower and installed another drop in tub with layout and provisions for the deck mounted tub filler… had the other guys spread out wrapping up an ADA accessible bathroom for a car dealership and a few other trim outs that needed buttoning up.. It’s tough now not being physically on every job but it’s really nice to have a crew I can trust to do it right when I send em out.. But not being on every site means not as many pictures of the finished product and not as much content… gotta just start popping in on the guys lol 😂 #work #construction #build #plumbing #plumber #jobsite #sinnottsplumbing
POV I finally got sick of overpaying for electric to run my air conditioner and keep my lights on so I decided to go Solar with @getinfinityenergy Here’s why! Not only was my house positioned perfectly south facing, but I had Zero roof obstructions so the solar array was able to be easily and seamlessly laid out to maximize my production… Oh and no trees or shade either just full sun! And by purchasing my system instead of leasing it I was able to size the system how I wanted so I could generate more than my average usage… ensuring that on peak heat of the summer I could generate enough solar to offset the AC running all day! And when I generate more than I use I didn’t realize that you can build up credits with your electric provider for other days or months that you may not produce as much. That was huge for me! But the biggest selling point for me was incorporating a @teslaenergy powerwall3 and solar gateway to control my array and offer me the ability to generate solar when local power outages occur… so money I would’ve spent on a diesel whole house generator were diverted into my whole home solar which will provide me with clean cheaper energy for years to come! Hit me up with questions about the process and I can help get you hooked up with solar at your place before the NYS tax rebate runs out! #solar #getinfinityenergy #infinityenergy #infinitysolar #nickdaplumber #jobsitereviews #construction #build #collaboration
