Unfortunate that I was introduced to this life-affirming experience through a friend who was sick. Fortunate that I was introduced to this life-affirming experience through that very same friend. Duality - happy and sad coexisting, yet love always triumphing. Amazing humans here - living fully, loving deeply, and lifting one another up. Tav summed it up perfectly TFP = Community. Love. Support. Thanks to all my supporters & everyone that makes this weekend possible - Nick Fields is feeling the TFP love. 1st photo @nick_presniakov 3rd photo @nickbobroff
Best weekend of the year!
This year’s @thefriendshippaddle in honor of @fieldsy
Santa Rosa Island to Santa Barbara Harbor.
This group represents the best of our Santa Barbara community. Coming together to support one of our own. 🙌🏽
A set of gold-tinged pics from an early evening up on Fig Mountain. Nice to get out of the coastal marine layer for a few hours and find some sun and a few scattered wildflowers.
An oldie but a goodie from a paddleboard adventure up the coast to the western gate. Strong “Land of the Lost” or “Jurassic Park” vibes; trying not to think too much about what’s lurking underneath while sitting on the board, dangling 10 piggies in the water and snapping photos.

Coming up on September 8th, @heatherannallen and I will again be participating in this year’s @thefriendshippaddle
This time around, we’re paddling in support of our friend and waterwoman extraordinaire, Courtney Brewer. We’re raising funds and spreading positive energy to try to make things a little bit easier on her while she is battling a major illness.
If you would like to learn more about Courtney or if you’re able to help out, please visit the link in either Heather’s or my bios. We appreciate all the support!
Special day on the water for the @keikipaddle.sb and this year’s honoree, Cole Racich (4th frame).
We had a record 150 kids participating and we managed to wrangle nearly all of them into a group photo at the start. The group then paddled 9 miles from Campus Point to Ledbetter Beach where we were greeted by 100s of supporters there to celebrate Cole.
Haven’t had too many opportunities to get out recently, and when I have managed to escape the office for more than a meal and a little sleep, I haven’t felt like dragging the camera along. In any case, the recent lovely weather, along with the beautiful spring greens and blooms were finally enough to motivate me to go stretch the legs and snap off a few frames.
