Most of the work from 2025. This month marks 10 years since I quit my full-time job at an agency to work for myself. At times, this can seem like such an odd and somewhat unsustainable career path, but month after month and year after year, it’s just somehow worked out, even when I thought it might not any longer. I truly owe it all to the community that’s been so supportive for so long. I’m sincerely thankful for everyone who has hired me, bought an original or print, made an encouraging comment, or sent me a thoughtful message over the years.
For 2026, I’ve had the idea to do something more narrative for a long time, so I’d like to attempt that. I want to focus more on painting and get away from screens as much as I can. I want to loosen up my style and focus less on everything being perfect and tight. I still love making art for bands and movies. I think my main goal is just to not repeat the same year again as any previous year. I just want to keep learning.

Being from the Midwest and growing up in the early 2000s, this album was the soundtrack to many of my high school and college years. Thank you to the band for involving me, and also to @chrisstrongphotography , whose original cover photo of the house has served as the inspiration behind many of the designs created for the band.

When the day has come to a close and your mind is freed from the cacophony of forces that pass the hours, where do your thoughts wander to? Are there really answers to those questions, or are we just searching for something that doesn’t exist?
