Last night, we were proud to join with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and allies from across Philadelphia at a GOTV rally to support Chris Rabb for Congress. Philadelphia has an opportunity this Tuesday, May 19th, to send a transformational leader to D.C. In the bluest congressional district in the COUNTRY, we deserve a true progressive leader, not more of the status quo. Visit the link in our bio to see the full PA WFP voter guide & make a plan to vote for @chrisrabb and other WFP-endorsed candidates!

We don’t need another politician talking tough on camera and folding behind closed doors. We need a real fighter. That’s why we’re all in for Chris Rabb for Congress. Philly, write this date down: Tuesday, May 19th. Find all our endorsed candidates and your voting info at the top link in our bio.

This is what “government by the people, for the people” looks like. Roughly half of Philadelphia residents rent their homes, and landlord abuse was all too common. Insert Working Families Party Councilmember Nicolas O’Rourke. Together with partners, he fought for legislation to protect tenants and even the playing field. Landlords tried their best to block our legislation with delays and lawsuits…but the people won. Help us build this kind of leadership across the country. Comment “joinWFP” (one word) and we’ll DM you with ways to get involved.

I am proud to offer my full support for Sierra McNeil’s campaign for State House in the 195th District. Our communities deserve leaders who understand their challenges firsthand, and Sierra represents exactly that kind of working class leadership. She is committed to advancing policies that uplift Philadelphia’s working families, including raising wages, lowering the cost of living, expanding access to quality healthcare, and investing in critical mental health services. Sierra understands that when we strengthen our workforce, remove barriers, and create opportunities, we build communities where everyone has the chance to succeed. Her dedication to fighting for the people she seeks to represent makes this an easy choice, and I am honored to stand behind her candidacy.

Three years ago, The Working Families Party defeated Republicans to become the minority party on Philadelphia City Council. We ran on a promise to deliver for working people and stand up for everyday Philadelphians. Today, we saw the impact that election had. Council passed bills from both @kendraforphilly and @nicforphilly that will materially impact the lives of working people across the city. Together, these are the two most ambitious pieces of legislation passed in Council this year. And they were spearheaded by your Working Families Party councilmembers. Safe, Healthy, Homes will expand protections for renters and crack down on landlords who are breaking the law. ICE OUT will protect our immigrant communities that are facing daily assaults from the Trump administration. Together, they are examples of what we can accomplish when we work hand-in-hand with community organizations to deliver for Philly. We don’t have to “moderate” our positions to accommodate the establishment — because no aim is too ambitious when the power of the people is behind it.

Working Philadelphians have already sent five socialists to Harrisburg and City Hall—but the forces of austerity aren’t backing down. Neither are we. Now, we’re taking this fight to Congress. Today, our Socialists in Office are proud to endorse Chris Rabb, a democratic socialist for Congress. Chris Rabb will carry our movement into the highest halls of power. He’ll bring the voices of our neighbors—from Germantown to Nicetown, Tioga to every corner of PA-03—into the urgent conversations this political moment demands. And he’ll fight to deliver real results for Philadelphia’s working-class communities. Donate to our movement today (also linked in bio): /donate/dsaforrabb

Philly City Councilmember Nic O’Rourke has been a powerful voice for working families in our city and I am honored to earn his endorsement for Congress in our race here in PA-03: “Rep. Rabb represents a majority Black, mixed-income district whose voices are too often overlooked in the halls of power. But those voices are not overlooked by Rep. Rabb. They are centered in everything that he does. “At a time when many feel disillusioned, Rep. Rabb is showing us what public service is all about: Clear values, courageous leadership, and a willingness to speak truth to power even when it's not easy. “Throughout his career, Rep. Rabb has taken on the fights that matter most, always standing up to corporate power and being a champion for working families. “Now he's ready to take that fight to Capitol Hill to amplify the voices of everyday people and stand up to moneyed interests and establishment politics and I am proud to join the Working Families Party in supporting him.” Join Nic in supporting our campaign and give what you can as we take on the Super PACs and show them what people power can do: https://bit.ly/4lN5Bbu

We’re proud to endorse Chris Rabb for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District. It’s time we have one of our own in the squad. Rep. Rabb is one of the longest serving progressives in Harrisburg where he has taken on Republicans and the billionaire class to improve the lives of working people. He has always advocated for a people-first agenda, and that’s exactly the type of experience we need right now in Washington D.C. to stop the Trump administration. With this election, Philadelphia has the chance to elect an unapologetic fighter. The Working Families Party will do everything we can to make sure he’s our next Congressmember this November.

Working families deserve respect and fair wages. Let's fight for these rights by supporting Starbucks workers, who are inspiring workers around the world to stand up and be treated with dignity. #NoContractNoCoffee
