G-UNIT!!! Rumor has it the Reebok G-Unit sneakers are returning this year! Back in 2003, Reebok signed both Jay-Z and 50 Cent to contracts, giving them their own sneakers. Both the S. Carter Collection and G-Unit series were popular among consumers. No official street date has been given, but it will be interesting to see how these do in 2026. Did you ever own a pair of G-Unit RBK’s?!

The Nike Air Griffey Max I saw another release today. Despite them coming out every five or so years, sales never seem to take a hit when they’re back on shelves. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, first releasing back in April 1996. Did you grab a pair today or still wearing a previous retro?

If you’ve followed us the past six years, you know we’ve advocated for Team Jordans consistently! The Jordan Lite released in February 1999 and was the first Jordan basketball shoe to have a price tag under $100. When ‘Brand Jordan’ was introduced in 1997, a big goal was to make more affordable products that the average consumer could afford. MJ hooped in a pair of these at a summer camp in ‘99 and Derrick McKey wore ‘em in the playoffs that year as well. I grabbed these on Mercari in 2024 for $20, just hoping that the removable pins were in decent shape. I didn’t expect them to be completely wearable! What was the first pair of Team J’s you ever had?

The Nike Air Zoom Flight Club released in 2009, with numerous NBA players receiving their own PE’s. These drew obvious inspiration from the Air Zoom Flight ‘98 aka The Glove with a shroud/zipper covering the shoe. Visible Air Zoom in the heel really helped these pop off! The Glove is returning in fall of this year. Would you like to see these again at some point in the future or are they best left in The Vault?

Happy Birthday Mike Bibby! Since his days at Arizona he’s had one of the most impressive sneaker rotations in basketball. Not only with his player exclusives, but even with some general releases, especially in his days with the Atlanta Hawks! You’ll find mostly PE’s here but a few GR’s snuck their way into this carousel. What was Bibby’s best PE?

Happy Birthday Dennis Rodman! The Worm laced up Reebok, Nike and Converse during his career. But no matter what brand was on his feet, he was always wearing Nice Kicks! When I was a kid, my neighbor Brice had the Air Worm Ndestrukt and I was so jealous over his $75 Shoe Sensation bangers! What is your favorite Rodman shoe?

These released back in 1998 as the first Jordan shoe designed specially for women! They were inspired by the Air Jordan XIII and a few players in the WNBA wore them including Tamecka Dixon. Some people try to associate these with Sheryl Swoopes, but she never wore them due to having her own signature. These retro’d in 2020 and we are starting to see new color ways pop up again this year. Have you ever worn the Women’s Air Jordan OG?

Penny Hardaway only played 83 games for the New York Knicks during his three seasons with the team. Despite that, he still had some incredible PE’s including the Huarache 2K4 which releases in the fall and these 2K5’s which deserve their own drop at some point in the future too. Through the years we’ve seen Allan Houston’s Flightposite PE’s and Quentin Richardson’s numerous Air Jordans. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. What sneaker is the all time best Player Exclusive for the New York Knicks?

This is the second pair of these I’ve seen on eBay in the past year! I remember when Nike made leather Hyperflight’s back in 2002, but I somehow missed the low top pair made with ostrich leather. We’ve recently seen shoes like the DT Max ‘96 and Reebok Shaqnosis get releases in low top form. Would you wear a low top Hyperflight?

Six sneakers turning 30 next year! 1997 was the year I started high school. I had the Super CB after abusing Nike’s ‘defective’ return policy, sending in my friends ‘defective’ Air Max2 CB and getting Super’s in return! That was the only way for me to get shoes over $100, so I had to be creative. We’ve seen some of these retro in the past, others like the Lapis Zoom Flight V and MZ3 have not. With these hitting a big milestone next year, which (if any) would you like to see back on shelves?

When the Stealth Air Jordan XV released in December of 1999, Nike wasn’t sure how sales would be, especially after the XIV didn’t do the numbers they expected. Jordan Brand had an initial production run of 200K pairs with 100K being gone the first weekend, and the other half gone by the following weekend. Their Stealth XV had sold out in two weekends. Larry Miller, who was then the president of Jordan Brand in his first tenure, said the original advertising campaign for the XV aimed to convey excellence, confidence and sophistication. Some magazines liked the image of MJ & his six rings so much that they let the Brand run the ads free of charge! The XV is equally hated as it is loved, which side of the fence do you stand on? Love ‘em or hate ‘em?
