My first job after college was here in the USA at a print shop. I’d just moved here and saw a beautiful brick building in Pasadena, CA, with beautiful roses growing up the walls like something you’d read about in a book. This was my first gig in Graphic Design and Project Management.
It was my first exposure to different printing techniques. They’d opened in the 1920s and did all their engraving, letterpress, foil stamping, and offset printing in-house. When we went to trade shows, we would bring a tabletop letterpress and I’d make prints on the spot for people pursuing the booths. But before I inked it up, I remember stamping a few sheets without ink, and I always loved the look of the blind impression stamped into the paper.

Last fans of the summer wedding season. This couple went with the perfect transitional palette of bright peppy pastels juxtaposed against mustard and forest green. I love that the light blue acrylic handles with burgundy ribbon brought it all together.
