We wanted to spotlight the energy from the first Greek Coffee Party celebrating the start of Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Celebration Weekend🪩🇬🇷! Thank you to everyone who joined us at Greek from Greece @gfg.philly right on Drexel’s campus, shared the κέφι, enjoyed some καφέ, and vibed to the music from @ayiantsos12 . A special thank you to GFG who made this party happen and the Greek organizations that partnered, the NHSA @nhsaofamerica and the NHS @nhshellenics Heritage Greece Alumni. It was such a fun and meaningful gathering for the young Greek-American community and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again during parade weekend on April 4, 2027!☕️💃🕺🪩

On May 6, the National Hellenic Society was proud to host an evening of ✨Parea with Purpose✨ at the spectacular Yiayias Restaurant in Houston, TX. 🇬🇷
Hosted by NHS Chair Lea Soupata alongside local hosts Evy Pappas, owner of Yiayias Restaurant, and Alexis Argeropoulos, the evening brought together the local Greek-American community, productive conversations about preserving Hellenism, and connection over common goals for the future and how NHS can be the driving force.

Last Thursday a group of young professionals came together at our “Mix and Mingle” event in Boca to bring the “Heritage Collective” membership to life! An initiative that aims to incorporate young adults into the mission of the NHS and engage our alumni of the Heritage Greece program!

Some of our National Hellenic Society members attended the White House celebration of Greek Independence Day, welcoming Greek-American community leaders, senior Orthodox Church officials, and U.S. dignitaries.
The event brought together representatives of the Greek diaspora, including Archbishop Elpidophoros (@archbishopelpidophoros ) and U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle (@kimberlyguilfoyle ), highlighting the enduring relationship and deep historical, cultural, and strategic ties between the United States and Greece.
Remarks by President Trump (@potus ), Archbishop Elpidophoros, and other distinguished leaders underscored the profound contributions of Greek-Americans and the enduring influence of Greek heritage on American democracy and culture.
Today, we honor the courage of those who fought for independence and celebrate the vibrant Greek-American community that continues to shape our nation.
