CallmeNgLabelle kontents strongly condemns Nollywood producer Austin Faani for his unauthorized and unlawful use of our exclusive promotional poster for Our Movie Voltage. in marketing his film, Red Alert. This act is a blatant violation of the Nigerian Copyright Act, 2022, which protects audiovisual works, including digital posters and promotional materials. The Act imposes strict penalties for unauthorized use, passing-off, and brand misrepresentation. By this law, we are pursuing immediate enforcement through the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) and all legal avenues available. “Our company, CallMeNgLabelle Kontents Ltd, has invested years of hard work and resources. My brand was built on originality and trust. To see another producer shamelessly steal our creative work, and suggesting that we should arrange for another poster re-shoot is an insult to me as a filmmaker and every hardworking filmmaker in Nollywood.. For someone to steal our property in broad daylight is unacceptable and will not go unchallenged,” said Ngozi Ogbonna Nglabelle Founder and CEO of CallmeNgLabelle Kontents LTD and the producer of the movie..Voltage. We are taking immediate legal action against Austin Faani (the producer of Red Alert) and his associates for: • Copyright infringement (unauthorized use of our creative materials). • Passing-off and brand misrepresentation (misleading customers/film enthusiasts with stolen property). • Damages to brand reputation caused by his reckless actions. This is not just about a poster photo theft. It is about protecting the integrity of Nollywood and ensuring that hardworking creatives are not robbed by opportunists who cut corners. We hereby warn all marketers, distributors, and exhibitors that any association with Red Alert, under these stolen materials, may expose them to joint legal liability. To our loyal customers/viewers, we remain fully committed to authenticity, exclusivity, and originality. We will defend your trust in us with every legal and professional weapon available.
