I can’t put into words what it feels like to have a part of my essence captured (so vulnerably and Beautifully.) Thank you @art_by_thabisodakamela for this offering. This piece is still available at Ellis house, feel free to pop in and lose yourself in other art pieces this Sunday. Swipe to the last slide for details 🫶🏾
🧘🏾♀️ - it’s so easy to shrink yourself even to you parts of you that you’re in control of. This is just a reminder to never let your inner thoughts shout louder than who you are. Stay true.
New beginnings 🎀
I’ve had my natural hair for a good decade, and there’s so much beauty that I found in that. So much of myself that came to life when I started embracing my natural hair, so much so that it became my identity (which it I mean, it definitely is).
But somewhere in that I lost the autonomy to wonder, to play. Whenever I did, it was within a limited space. And in a way that reflected my frame of life at the time, comfortable and afraid of change.
But here’s to embracing change🤭🤭🤭 and watching it embrace me right back!
Thank you for helping me start off this new season well @emmanuel_the_barber_ your hands are SO BLESSED! ✨
Basking in the mercy that made way for a new day 🤍✨
Hope it was a beautiful Resurrection Sunday on your side of the world. May gratitude find you where you are.
@we_are_ayana did a number with this one 🤎
Long strolls,
short cups
and quiet shades of yellow.
When change comes,
let it’s winds sweep the comfort off your limbs,
blow dust off your rested resolutions
and remind the mind that someone new resides.
Fall has moved in and replaced all the furniture.
She’ll move again next season, make sure you embrace her. 🍂
