"Absolutely thrilled to witness the extraordinary talent showcased by students from UCLA's Department of Theater in their latest production, 'I Swear To God'! Every aspect was flawlessly executed by the students. What truly stood out was their innovative use of NFT Puppet Pelts, crafting puppets in their own likeness, adding a unique touch to the performance and providing a beautiful insight into their own perceptions of themselves.
'I Swear To God' delves into the poignant journey of queer middle schoolers navigating love, friendship, and faith in the early 2000s. The narrative beautifully explores themes of identity, acceptance, and the struggle for self-discovery in a world that often demands conformity. It's a powerful reflection on the intersection of Christianity and the challenges faced by marginalized communities, shedding light on important issues of diversity and inclusion.
