Tonight is the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, I am excited—and for the first time, it all goes down at the Los Angels County Museum of Art, at the new David Geffen Galleries. I wrote about LACMA director Michael Govan’s long saga to build the ambitious—and controversial—cultural hub that vaults over Wilshire Boulevard, for the spring issue of VF. I loved writing this story. Read it before the stars clutching statuettes arrive at the museum.

I profiled Kylie Jenner for the cover of Vanity Fair. The Spring Issue will be on newsstands everywhere soon. Read it now, it’s long and it’s one of my favorite stories I’ve worked on in a while. Kylie is a self-aware cinephile ready to take Hollywood, with a Warholian sense of how the business of fame operates, and loves to play poker with artists in LA. Also: she might be the most powerful person in media.

Happy birthday to Lucy, my favorite person, the most incredible wife and mom in the whole world. I love you more every single day, every moment with you is a super-fun adventure-filled blessing, and our little girl is growing up so so fast it’s such a joy to watch—Lady clearly knows it’s your birthday because she’s being such a good girl. (Butter knows too but she’s such a silly doggie.) I love you so much sweetie. Everyone wish Lucy a happy birthday!!! @lucycharlesworthfreeman
