Poverty within a wealthy nation is often presented as an unfortunate side effect of a complex system. But in truth, it is not accidental. This is necessary to the order as it exists. Capital accumulation depends on inequality, both at home and across the world. The same system that extracts labor from workers in the United States is bound to the extraction of resources, the domination of nations, and the policing of geopolitical power in places like the Middle East. The war with Iran is not separate from domestic poverty. It is tied to it. The protection of global energy routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, and the projection of military power help guarantee the continued flow of wealth into dominant economies, while the human and economic costs are displaced onto others, especially the poor, the colonized, and the disposable. If basic needs were universally guaranteed, the leverage used to discipline workers would weaken. If global systems were organized around justice rather than domination, the rationale for intervention would begin to collapse. This is why poverty is not simply neglected. It is maintained. Here and abroad, it survives because it serves the system itself. It does not make much sense that in such an advanced technological society, the overwhelming majority of the working class still suffers. But at what cost? Our lives within this country feed the international agenda of our government, which we are shown time and time again is not for the benefit of the people. #Politics #SocialJustice #Advocacy #Revolution

They tell us there is no money for schools, no money for hospitals, no money for homes, no money for the simple dignity every human being deserves, and yet when war calls, billions rise overnight as if they had been waiting all along. Across Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, and so many nations made to bear the weight of empire, people are asked to survive what no people should ever have to endure: bombardment, displacement, hunger, grief, and the slow violence of being told their suffering is somehow understandable within the logic of power. There are no perfect victims in history. There are only people. There are mothers holding children through the night, fathers searching for loved ones beneath rubble, families carrying memory and survival across borders, and entire nations forced to live beneath the shadow of domination. The United States has too often positioned itself as the arbiter of order while leaving behind the architecture of devastation, asking the world to rationalize the pain imposed upon ordinary people in the name of strategy, security, or national interest. This is the moral contradiction at the heart of empire: the oppressed are asked to prove their innocence before they are granted compassion, while the powerful are permitted endless violence without moral scrutiny. For war, there is always abundance. For domination, there is always urgency. For empire, there is always political will. But when the people ask for healthcare, education, housing, and the right to live with dignity, suddenly we are told there is not enough. That is not scarcity. That is political choice. The truth is that this world has more than enough to sustain life, and yet power continues to decide whose lives are worthy of protection and whose suffering may be normalized. This is a system revealing, with painful clarity, what it has been built to preserve. #iran #keepeyesonsudan #politics #socialjustice #advocacy
