• Obsidian Summer Obsidian is a naturally occurring, hard brittle volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Black Obsidian is just so beautiful to me. It gives off a feeling of powerful and sultry. I wanted to name the series Diamond Boy but i thought it was to clichè. Vek was hands down the perfect muse for this idea! His skin was so silky and the diamonds added the perfect touch. I’m truly obsessed with black + white photography so it was only right to make that the main focus. • OBSIDIAN SUMMER i usually don’t explain my concepts but this idea came from listening to @sza Diamond Boy nonstop one night. All I could in vision was a black and white photoshoot with a diamonds on my muses face or body. My ideas are always so random but i feel like that helps me not put pressure on myself or my art. I let things flow naturally. I look at photography like writing poetry in a way. Instead of words i use my angles to convey the message. I think of my photography as storytelling.. without the words you can feel something just by looking at it. Art doesn’t have to be as deep as we want it to come off as. It can simple but still mean a lot. It depends on how we see things. When you go into a gallery you don’t see a long description of the photograph or painting. when you finally develop photos from 2020-2026 two days ago (none of the photos are in order) I just wanted to show them + i feel like holding on to photos for years and finally getting them developed is actually cool lol seeing these for the first time is still shocking. Like wow i wonder where my mind was on these days and what made me capture these. Photography is really my passion 🥹💚

• IT’S SEF MONTH 💙 my bestie just turned 30 and we’ve been friends for 15 years! Forever grateful that we was sitting at that lunch table talking about tumblr nonstop. We bonded naturally and we never stopped being friends, no arguments, no disagreements just always screaming when we see each other. I love you so much and thank you for being by my side when it comes to my photography! Always supporting me. We did an impromptu photoshoot for his birthday and it came out bomb! Shout out to everyone who helped us execute this idea at the last minute 😂💙 We literally did this shoot in a span of 15 mins.

I dedicate this series to all the beautiful women in this world discovering their true identity. Please don’t let anyone make you feel uncomfortable. Keep going the world needs you. Create a sisterhood, create friendships and keep being unapologetically you 💕 I was in a dark place until God directed me to become a better version of myself. I was in a creative funk for years and life has been hard but one day God gave me the vision to create this series to help me heal myself. As a 30 year old photographer + creative I always felt like I was missing the support from other women. I felt like I didn’t fit in with most and I wanted to be a “girls girls” but I feel like it’s so hard to make genuine connections because I feel like me being unapologetically who I am doesn’t mesh well with others. I can be awkward, shy and I second guess myself sometimes. I no longer want to shrink myself to “fit in” instead I choose to love myself and keep on doing what I love. Breaking free from any limitations. Instead i choose to be unapologetically me and I think we all should live this way ✨ This is just the beginning. In the works of creating more.
