Nostoi- I’ll take you over - out now! Nostoi is an experimental electronic music project with a downtempo soul, born in Milan and shaped around the idea of “returning.” The name refers to the ancient Greek tales of the heroes’ journeys back from the Trojan War, and at the same time echoes the origin of the word nostalgia — an emotional dimension that defines the project’s aesthetic. With I’ll Take You Over, the first single released by Social Science and the lead preview of the upcoming EP Ithaki, Nostoi introduces its sonic universe with clarity and impact. The track serves as a true artistic manifesto: enveloping, refined melodies, an incisive rhythmic pulse, and meticulous sound design that together create a deeply evocative and recognizable sonic identity. Riccardo Morandini - Cadono le statue Dal 13 giugno 2025 da New Model Label Chitarre maliane, clavi afro e un incedere marziale in shuffle: così si apre il nuovo viaggio sonoro di Riccardo Morandini. All’orizzonte emergono archi cinematici, mentre la coda del brano ci conduce su una rotta terzinata, dalle atmosfere dell’Africa subsahariana fino a un reel irlandese trasfigurato, che si dissolve tra echi di kalimbe poliritmiche e voci lisergiche. Riccardo Morandini è un musicista metamorfico e trasversale. Il suo linguaggio riflette un percorso segnato dalla contaminazione culturale e musicale: un equilibrio originale tra rock psichedelico, canzone d’autore, suggestioni classiche, jazz e world music. Negli anni ha collaborato come chitarrista con artisti e formazioni di ambiti differenti, tra cui Sammy Osman, Mr Zombie Orchestra, Kimia Ghorbani, Collettivo Ginsberg, Tower Jazz Composer Orchestra, Alessandro Ristori e Superpop. Ha pubblicato l’EP Eden (2021) e il primo LP Il leone verde (2022), entrambi accolti con interesse dalla critica di settore. Il testo riflette una visione radicale e utopica: ogni forma di potere, anche quella che si maschera da ordine naturale, è destinata a sgretolarsi. Le statue cadono, e con esse l’illusione dell’assoluto. In questa prospettiva, l’utopia non è un’astrazione ma un atto di rottura: il mondo si ricompone in una danza di frammenti, dove le parole, liberate da logiche dualistiche, rovesciano il reale in un girotondo carnascialesco. Una scrittura che, come la musica che la accompagna, rifiuta le gerarchie e accoglie la complessità, l’ambiguità, la gioia del molteplice. Il suo nuovo lavoro, Radice senza fine, sarà pubblicato il 3 ottobre 2025 da New Model Label. Un progetto che consolida la sua visione musicale, in bilico tra tradizione e sperimentazione, con un approccio autoriale e sonoro sempre più riconoscibile.
