My name is Isabella Adediji and I’m here to support the motion that debating is a life skill. Who would have thought all the years spent practising and debating in school and @cambridgeuniversity would have made me an eloquent, engaging and excellent speaker. And the confidence boost? I am able to face any crowd or camera or mic. And it’s not just the speaking but also, the thinking that debating help with. On the spot, you are processing the points of your opponents and coming up with a counter-argument. What about time management especially in this age of reduced attention span?
