As CEO, Josh Schumann says: "Seeing Kings Cinema become such a valued part of town life has been incredibly rewarding. From our initial steps building local interest through the mobile cinema to gaining the necessary partnerships, we set out to help create a permanent quality cinema accessible to everyone. Now, two years on, we are delighted that the cinema is now fully established in the heart of the town.”

We are so proud to share that the 2025 Presents Galore Christmas Fair at Rowley Mile Racecourse raised over £58,000 for @cambchildrens , @NHRM and ourselves.
4,500+ visitors. Hundreds of independent stalls. And a local community that shows up to support these three incredible charities.

A simple idea. A free hot lunch and a welcoming space to talk.
Last week we brought together local organisations in Newmarket to offer support, advice and a meal for anyone who needed it.
Just as important was the chance for local organisations to connect with each other, share information and strengthen how they support people across the community.
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon possible. Huge thanks to the team at The Tack Room who hosted and funded the event so successfully – events like this show how powerful it can be when local organisations come together to share knowledge and support those who need it most.

Do you care about Newmarket and the people who live here? Would you like to play a part in shaping projects that support our town and its future?
Newmarket Charitable Foundation is looking to welcome new trustees to our Board. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have a genuine interest in Newmarket, its community, and the work we do now and for the years ahead.
Our projects focus on supporting local people, creating opportunities for young people, businesses and improving shared spaces across the town. Trustees help guide this work by offering their time, experience and local insight, and by helping ensure the charity remains strong, well run and focused on what matters most.
You do not need previous trustee experience. What matters is an interest in Newmarket, a willingness to get involved, along with the ability to take a strategic view.
