The ground level is thoughtfully designed to be highly integrated with the outdoor spaces, thereby establishing a seamless transition between public and private domains.
This connection is a core principle in our typological development, aiming to foster a welcoming environment both within and beyond the buildingâs confines. We achieve this by incorporating inviting lobbies, versatile common areas, and accessible public spaces that serve to bridge the open and enclosed areas, encouraging interaction and a sense of community.
The living units are designed to comply with existing regulations, prioritizing solar irradiance, climate comfort, and spatial usability. Primarily, these units are oriented towards the sunniest aspects of the site. Conversely, service spaces and vertical circulation elements are strategically positioned on the opposite side. The rotated grid of the master plan optimizes the placement of openings, while terraced landscaping progressively reveals the buildings. This stepped approach allows for refined control over the daylight regulation strategy.

âConfluence Neighbourhoodâ is the 2nd Finalist project in the KLL competition provided by @terravivacompetitions đ
In the quiet pause between city and mountain, where the urban fabric yields to wilderness, lies not merely a site but an opportunity for a profound reconciliation. Our vision for the Karlovo Living Landscape is not one of imposition, but of integration, a neighborhood conceived as a living, breathing extension of its terrain. We propose a ânature gatewayâ where the boundaries between dwelling and landscape, private life and community, are gently dissolved. This is achieved through a tapestry of four distinct residential identities, each a unique interpretation of sustainable, community-focused living.
The core of our concept is the dissolution of the physical and psychological barrier of the fence. Instead, a continuous, fluid network of pedestrian paths, green ribbons, and shared courtyards forms the connective tissue of the district. Architecture, primarily in wood and other biophilic materials, does not dominate but dialogues with the landscape, framing the views of the BanskĂĄ Bystrica valley and the surrounding hills. Water is not drained but celebrated, a positive, circulating system of retention ponds, rain gardens, and meandering streams that becomes both ecological infrastructure and the social heart of the community.

WORK Hub is designed to be adaptable to different types of creativity, starting with crafting, writing, and designing, and ending with dancing and performing. Two volumes are placed as an extension of existing ruins, gently attached to them with a small distance between the existing walls and the new structures. The first one has a more rigid plan, with the possibility to move curtains between workshops, while the second one has an open space with flexible use and a multi-level co-working zone placed next to it.
Designed in collaboration with @dan.ilidi and @atta_khoei

The first HUB is designed to be a central point for social activities, featuring an exhibition hall, cafeteria, open space, and an open-air cinema with the possibility of watching movies right from the water. Due to the HUBâs location between the sea and the lake, the visual connections and some activities are related to the surrounding water
The project was designed on collaboration with @dan.ilidi and @atta_khoei

This is the time to share the project Iâve done with @dan.ilidi and @atta_khoei during the Advanced Architectural Design studio with Kazuyo Sejima at Politecnico di Milano.
Inujima is an island in Japan with a population of around 50 people. Today, this island is popular due to a significant focus on its artistic life, with architects and artists, including SANAA, coming here to create The Inujima Art Project.
Our goal was to envision the islandâs future life, attracting new residents and visitors. Keeping in mind the decreasing local population and the increasing number of temporary guests, we decided to analyze the annual schedule of events and activities on the island. Based on that, we designed HUBs that can be used by different groups of people depending on their needs throughout the year.

Itâs been a while since I shared images related to the De Zandloper project, but thereâs still plenty more to show! đ
For me, this project was a challenging exercise in transforming architectural thinking. Rather than focusing solely on large masses, I immersed myself in the details, experimenting with materials, small structures, and, OMG, colors! What I truly admire about Belgian architecture is its fearless use of bright hues. The careful consideration of the existing structure and its features enriched the project, fostering a diverse environment for social housing
My experience with exchange mobility opened the door to a completely different approach in Belgian architecture đ§đȘ, equipping me with valuable tools for my architectural practice
