It’s Sunday morning, I’m getting ready for church, and I find myself reflecting on two powerful moments from this past week. 💜 Last Sunday, I joined Michelle Lynch MBA, Pastor Yvonne Brooks and Marcia Dixon MBE at New Jerusalem Community Church following the screening of Living, Loving, Serving: Women Leaders in Ministry, beautifully chaired by Danielle Shillingford. We had honest conversations about leadership, sacrifice, womanhood, resilience and the realities of serving whilst carrying so much personally, spiritually and professionally. What made it even more powerful was that men stayed in the room, listened and engaged as we spoke openly about domestic abuse, fatherlessness, single motherhood and the importance of supporting one another well. Then yesterday, in the spirit of Matthew 6:6, women gathered privately for prayer, praise and reflection away from the noise of the world. Joined by Tanya Hughes OBE FCIPD from Thailand, Pastor Yvonne Brooks and Pastor Marjorie Esomowei, we spoke about hidden burdens, leadership in exhaustion, protecting peace and what it truly means to live, love and serve without losing yourself. The world feels heavy right now. But spaces like these remind me that healing, honesty, prayer and community still matter deeply. 💜 Leadership is not always loud.
