💿 𝐃𝐉 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 📣 HIRO, a passionate locker, has been locking since 2012. His journey began when he joined a university dance club, motivated by an invitation from a crush😆 What Hiro loves most about his activities is DJing, which deepens his connection to locking. He enjoys going to parties with great music and finds that training in front of a mirror, taking classes, and joining battles aren’t always the best ways to improve. Hiro’s advice for beginner lockers? Focus on training and learning fundamentals first. Then, research yourself—how you listen to music and how you want to express yourself through locking. 👾 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 📣 Seattle in the house! Brendon has been grooving for almost 2 years, first discovering locking in college but diving deep into the dance scene in 2022 while in Beijing. Immersed in the vibrant street dance culture there, he took classes with friends and fell in love with the rhythm of freestyle. Since moving to Seattle in 2023, Brendon joined LZB and continued to explore locking and freestyle, expanding into house, waacking, and popping. Despite this journey through various styles, locking remains his top favorite. What does Brendon love most about dance? The pure joy of self-expression and staying active through movement! His advice for new dancers? Keep at it and enjoy the process— the more you dance, the better you get.
