Anyone who knows Frankie, knows who her hero is. Anyone who says never meet your hero’s obviously hasn’t met @msrachelforlittles 🥰 We met briefly in January while attending the Emmys in New York - she was so happy to leave the queue to enter the ceremony with @aronaccurso , to talk to us about Frankie. We only wanted to thank her for the work she does with kids, and tell her from a parents point of view, how much her videos mean to and help Frankie, along with millions of other kids like her all aver the world. We exchanged details and she said she’d love to send her a message 🩷 Being one of the biggest kids entertainers on the planet as well as constantly fighting for kids rights all over the globe must be pretty busy stuff so we never expected a response. We were wrong - she messaged back, asking a little more about Frankie including her favourite songs - a few days later we received this 🥹. Frankie loves her so much, (hence the response - which is pretty standard for Franks when totally overwhelmed 😂) she has helped her, and us so much and now also has a huge fan in Jesse. Four years since we met the first love of our lives - Four years since we met our Frankie Tickles, the most beautiful, kind, funny, brave and strong little rat bag that we’ve ever known - She teaches us something new everyday and she gets as strong as our love for her every single day - Happy birthday to our amazing little one - our baby Boobins ❤️ xxxx

This is AGS. This is what our life looks like most days (especially the 3rd slide 🙈). And as September is Leukodystrophy awareness month it feels like a time to celebrate Frankie, her strength and what she has dealt with in her 4 little years. We had never even heard of Leukodystrophy 2 years ago and are by no means experts now on these complex and rare conditions but it is an ongoing process of learning and support. Frankie was diagnosed with Aicardi Goutieres syndrome, which is a form of leukodystrophy - a life limiting and progressive condition effecting the white matter of the brain - 2 years ago, 3 weeks before I was due to start filming and working away. We knew by then that she had a calcium spot on her brain, inhibiting her motor skills but not what had caused it. Finding out that your child has a condition that will severely effect their life is incredibly traumatic (and will catch you at the most random times) but Frankie has shown us that if she can take all that life is throwing at her in her stride then so can we - the way she communicates and tells us in her way what she wants and needs has been eye opening. We had to adjust our expectations for what Frankie’s life might look like. All the things you expect to do with your child, the milestones you think you’ll see but don’t was hard but then you learn your child will develop in a different way, a way that is equally important and amazing and astounding and that they will show you that way and hit those milestones differently. Frankie’s strength, the work she has to do to achieve everything, her ability to love, to think, to challenge and to develop have opened our eyes to a world we would never have known and honestly is a privilege to see and be a part of. She is a wonder to us and helping her find her way in the world is a joy (she gives us a run for our money but it is a joy)! So here’s to you our little champ, our baby boobins, our Frankie tickles…taking on life with a determination, a joy and a strength we never knew possible - we’re here for you every stretch, every crawl or roll of the way. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
