Sunshine, inspiring talks, and immersive sound: what a week at #usitt in Long Beach!  We had so many great encounters with our partners @fohhn_audio_ag and Lawo, sharing ideas and stories that move sound forward. A highlight: a spontaneous demo of the SAD-Processor at SoundLand, which left a group of students absolutely amazed — wide-eyed and wide-eared!  Even though traveling to the U.S. comes with its challenges these days, we felt truly welcomed. Every project we work on here reminds us how sound connects people worldwide. ✨

Artist @peter_schilling has successfully completed the second run of his “Völlig Losgelöst” concert series. Once again performing to sold-out audiences. This show takes live sound to another dimension: an immersive 49.1 experience mixed with the Spatial Audio Designer - processor surrounding every listener with music, movement, and emotion. Combined with stunning video art by @roccohelmchen Helmchen and a spectacular light show by Andreas Fink. It was pure energy in 3D! ✨A journey that makes you feel „totally detached“ in the best possible way. The next stop: May 5 & 6, also already sold out, because it truly represents a new audiovisual dimension in music shows for planetariums. No visitor will experience such immersion and detachment again anytime soon.

A few days ago, I attended the Tonmeistertagung conference in Düsseldorf, where I had the opportunity to give insights into the fascinating world of immersive audio and music applications in various workshops and demonstrate what is possible with Spatial Audio Designer and in the field of immersive audio. @tonmeister_verband

Kling &Freitag installed a brand new immersive loudspeaker system in the Stefan-Zeromsky-Theater in Kielce, Polen. It’s managed by the Scala immersive audio processor to run any audio application needed instantly, including tracking of the actors. @kling_freitag_soundsystems

Our Partner @kling_freitag_soundsystems opened recently their new and amazing demo room in their Hannover headquarter. It provides space for 50 listeners in the sweet area where you can listen to different loudspeaker models. Also, an immersive 34.2 loudspeaker system thrills the experience. The system is managed by their immersive audio processor Scala we provided.

A special moment: the premiere of @peter_schilling new immersive fulldome program “Major Tom: Completely Detached” @planetarium.berlin . I had the pleasure of mixing a Dolby Atmos album for Peter Schilling two years ago. The whole thing has now continued in a planetarium show. I pre-worked parts of the songs we mixed back then, as well as a few new songs, binaurally with the Spatial Audio Designer plugin and then finalized them in the Dolby Atmos Studio. After that, we went to the Planetarium Berlin. Thanks to the flexibility of the technical setup and the object-based system, all that had to be done on site was to connect the notebook directly to the planetarium’s 50 speakers and change the output format. This allowed me to listen to everything on site and make final preparations in a single day. The mix for this unique premiere experience was developed specifically for the planetarium system, tailored to its impressive dome acoustics and the conditions on site. The planetarium has massive speaker systems that require appropriate management of different formats, sources, and interactive elements. Two songs from the show were remixed live by Peter Schilling. These were played live with automation via the Spatial Audio Designer Processor (SAD-P). The show itself was played by the planetarium system. The whole thing was framed on the 50 channels with unique visuals by @roccohelmchen to take the audience on a visual journey as well. It was truly stunning! Many thanks to everyone for working together to make this special fulldome show a reality.
