These insights were shared at our International Women's Day event in Limerick in March, where we explored what it takes to build resilient brands and support the women behind them as organisations scale.
💬 From Karen Ronan, our 2026 National President:
"Building bridges is about creating access to opportunity, to confidence and to leadership. Women are adapting to new technologies and new market realities at pace. Our role is to make sure they have the networks and support to grow with confidence.
Following extensive engagement with our members on issues ranging from competitiveness and AI to the growing pressures facing female founders, female-led businesses, and female employees, Network Ireland intends to make its first-ever pre-Budget submission to Government to ensure the voice of women in business is represented in national policy discussions."

We're celebrating the 594 women who have put themselves forward for the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards! 🌟
It takes real bravery to step into the spotlight and showcase your achievements. Every single applicant is a testament to the strength and ambition of our Network.
Here's what happens next:
⭐ Each applicant will go through a branch judging process.
⭐ Winners at branch level will proceed to the National Finals on Friday 18th September in Galway - an evening to celebrate the very best of women in business across the island.
Our National President, Karen Ronan, is looking forward to visiting as many branches as possible to meet you. Where she can't be there in person, her representatives will be attending on her behalf.
A huge thank you to our branch committees, branch presidents, awards coordinators and our national awards team - none of this happens without your incredible hard work and dedication behind the scenes. 🙌

At our International Women's Day event in Limerick, we had the privilege of hearing from Down Syndrome Limerick -our Charity Partner for the event.
The message was simple but powerful: stop focusing on what people with Down syndrome *can't* do, and start seeing what they *can*.
When employers and organisations look beyond the disability and see the person and their abilities, that's when real magic happens. ✨
Michelle Coughlan of Down Syndrome Limerick shares an incredible success story about a woman who struggled with traditional interviews. One forward-thinking life sciences company decided to skip the interview process and work with her to make the job fit her strengths. Today, she's thriving in her role and has never been happier.
When we see ability first, collaborate to find what works, and believe in people's potential - we all win.
That's the kind of change Network Ireland is proud to champion!

"A rising tide lifts all boats." ⛵
We love this quote because it perfectly captures what our community is all about.
When women in business support, mentor, and champion each other, we all rise together.
It's not about competing for a limited space at the table - it's about building more tables, pulling up chairs, letting down ladders, and creating real opportunities for the women around us.
Every time a member shares their expertise, opens a door for someone else, or simply shows up for a fellow Network Ireland woman, you're lifting the tide.
You're part of something bigger than yourself, and that's what makes this network so special.
That's what it means to be part of Network Ireland 💜
