I have the honor and privilege to announce that I am an official Content Creator at @metrocon_fl 2026 AND I AM SO EXCITED!! 🎉
NessiPoodle is a cosplayer, an advocate for local nerdiness, and loves to bring people together! From guesting at multiple local conventions and performing in over 10 idol showcases, to confounding Sweet Abyss Maid Cafe and hosting local events in Tampa, she is a true entertainer in the community! Nessi was runner-up for Creative Lofting’s "Best of the Bay" as Best Cosplayer in 2025 and has won first place in the Lip Sync Battle at Tampa Bay Comic Con two years in a row! She thanks her many lovely friends in this community: vendors, artists, tech professionals, sewing, makeup, and cosplay artists, idols, maid cafes, and so many more groups. With Metrocon 2017 as her first convention, her life hasn't been the same since! This community makes her smile and feel so loved and special to be who she is today!

Today’s my birthday, another trip around the sun! A lot can happen in one year! 🩵 I’m very thankful for the experiences I’ve had, and I’d like to talk about that.
It was an honor to be a finalist for “Best Cosplayer” in Creative Lofting’s Best of the Bay! To win an award based on not just creativity, but also recognition for hard work by the community, AND TO BE NOMINATED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, it’s truly a privilege! THANK YOU! 🥹
I moved out again, I love having a space of my own! It’s been nice to continue moving forwards in adulthood, trying new things and pushing myself more. I have been going to the gym consistently for over a year! And, I ran more local events for my fellow nerds!
The cafe has hit one year and it’s been growing steadily! I’ve focused on slowly learning more about business management after leaving the theatre world, but now I’m an entertainer and variety performer! Sometimes when one door closes, a bunch of new ones open!
I’ll be vulnerable, that’s a lot. I crave rest and relaxation, as I feel we all deserve it! I often feel burnt out, and sometimes a bit of impostor syndrome. It’s foreign to feel so boisterous about myself, as if I’m selfish to continuously feel so “loud and proud.” But honestly, I am proud of myself! But these accomplishments couldn’t have been done alone.
So I thank my surroundings. I’m thankful for my friends and family, as their support makes me feel stronger than doing this alone. I’m thankful for the communities I’m in; burlesque and local drag has been such an experience, there’s so much that makes me feel inspired to keep moving forwards. I thank my partner for always sticking by my side, no matter my journey. And I thank everyone I know in the cosplay community for being supportive and kind!
This next year, I plan on bettering myself by slowing down more and taking proper time for myself. Really making sure I am letting my mind and body rest to grow stronger!
