🌹Rose Madder
I'm super drawn to polishes that express feminine rage, so I had the perfect base for this round of the #StephenKingCollab.
I first read Rose Madder when it came out. At the time, it wasn't a favorite. When I reread it last summer, it hit different. I loved the strength Rosie found as she learned to be independent and that she had to find an ongoing outlet for her deep well of anger. I feel that.
@thelovelynailbot I'm so glad you suggested this book. I would happily enter a labyrinth and slay a Minotaur with you.

I think the official name of this Full Moon is the Worm Moon, but we had a lunar eclipse and it's refered to as a 🩸🌕Blood Moon. Super cool! It was too cloudy to see it this morning.

We had a little sun and I loved it. I'm wearing a shear purple with blue green flakes over a purple creme so I didn't have to use 4 coats of an infamous panty hose themed polish. In the right light, my magnetic green flame makes a fleeting appearance.
Mooncat Dawn of the Empire. I did a combination of velvet and cat eye magnetization. This one didn't play well with my peel off base coat and came off after only one day. It's weird how different formulas react to peel off. Sometimes polish I can wear a polish for days over the PO. Others, not so much.
I don't know too much about Chinese astrology (or any astrology for that matter) but the symbology speaks to me. A search tells me Fire is about passion and transformation and combined with horse, means a time of very dynamic, fast-paced change.
My base is Danglefoot McDreamy stamped with Uber Chic Satin Brass.

Bees Knees Lacquer Year of the Dragon. In the bottle this pulls much more green with a magnet, but I couldn't reproduce that on my nails. I still enjoy the heck out of it.

It's round 16 of #PolishedNotPossessed. I claimed I was starting a no buy and I failed this month. Some polishes came up in a destash and I caved very easily.
This round I chose the theme "Worthy Adversary". Several months ago there was a polish in one of the monthly boxes that I REALLY wanted. It was beautiful, but I also loved the name "Are you even in a Punk Band?" but I had a very close dupe...which I'm wearing today. This is Tears from Heaven by Glisten and Glow. It's very pretty, but the name annoys me, in part because it reminds me of Erik Clapton who has behaved awfully, his child that died and the song he sang about it. The whole thing creates a bad feeling for me. Anyway, I should stick a sticker on it and give it a new name. LOL.

For week 4 of #PolishedOpinionsSwatchfest, I'm wearing INLP Dark Matter. In most of my day to day lighting, this showed up as black with a silver magnetization. Outside, I was able to get the red to show up.
Funny thing...I've never wore plain black nail polish. It was not a thing when I was growing up. I don't think I ever saw black polish until the 90s and I was NOT in my polish era then.
I'm wearing 2 coats over gelx tips and blurring base coat.
