An innovative landmark in Amsterdam: a set of Neolithic’s 3D-printed slope stairs placed in Amsterdam-Noord on the N471!  🗿This innovative staircase, comprised of separate printed parts seamlessly interlocked, required no glue or connecting elements. Printing the 8.1-meter stairs took a mere 2.5 hours, showcasing the efficiency of our technology. For the graduation project of her program ‘Industrial Products’, @kiki.de.boer designed this concrete printed bench. She was asked by Neolithic to create a parametric design tailored for public spaces using 3D concrete printing. This bench is made with a concrete base and is fitted with 3D-printed seating made by @circlefied . The seating is made using 100% recycled plastic, making the bench both sustainable and suitable for use outside. But next to functionality, the combination of the pressed plastic seating and the terra-cotta coloured concrete, ensures Kiki’s design is a feast for the eyes as well. #3dprinting #innovation #parametricdesign #publicspace #sustainabledesign #futureofdesign

3D-geprinte put kost robot maar twintig minuten werk! Een walmuurput maken kost een metselaar algauw een dag werk, terwijl de 3D-printer het in 20 minuten kan. Onlangs zijn de eerste exemplaren geplaatst, die zullen dienen als afvoerput van het hemelwater richting de grachten. Dura Vermeer is bezig met het vernieuwen van de kademuur van de Jacob Catskade in Amsterdam en heeft aan Waternet gevraagd of zij in dit project een pilot mochten uitvoeren met 3D-geprinte betonnen walmuurputten. We're excited to share some great news! We successfully printed two nice pots with Vibers in our concrete mix as a test! Vibers is made from elephant grass (Miscanthus x Giganteus), which grows locally on fallow land in the Netherlands. Elephant grass stores a lot of CO2. And this CO2 is now also stored in these printed products! Only a small percentage of Vibers in our concrete mix already results in a considerable carbon footprint reduction. (The light-coloured dots in the pot are the elephant grass fibers) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Goed nieuws! We hebben met succes twee mooie potten geprint met Vibers in onze betonmix als test! Vibers wordt gemaakt van olifantsgras (Miscanthus x Giganteus), dat lokaal groeit op braakliggende gronden in Nederland. Olifantsgras slaat erg veel CO2 op. En deze CO2 zit nu dus ook opgeslagen in deze geprinte producten. Slechts een klein percentage Vibers in onze betonmix levert al een behoorlijke carbon footprint reductie op. Veelbelovend dus!
