And so it’s called a ‘Wok-Ear Wall’—the gabled walls that got their name because of the resemblance to the handle of a traditional Chinese iron wok. The shapes also look like the silhouette of an official’s hat from another time, a fun little nod to ambition and success, …and a fine case of form following ambition, and doing so rather proudly. l 關於鑊耳
After Hours Shenanigans
Wine, small bites and the kind of conversation that doesn’t watch the clock.
Our Open Gallery was more than an after-hours gathering — it was an opportunity to share the evolving story of By Hogen with the creatives shaping our spaces.
Thank you for showing up, for the laughter, the ideas, and the encouragement. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.
Here’s to thoughtful design, meaningful collaborations, and what lies ahead.

Happened to catch Noguchi’s Akari exhibition at the M+ during the recent whirlwind visit to HK. Standing there in the Akari’s ethereal glow as light passes through the washi paper, it still feels as timeless and poetic as ever. l 明

Definitely one of the most interesting furniture retail space I have been to so far. The spatial experience of navigating through the quirky pocket spaces in this rowhouse building while discovering pieces of furnitures display within was really fun, every piece of furniture somehow looks extra unique for just being there. The labyrinth-like spaces break the norm of typical layout for furniture store and fill the interior with so much surprises, engendering curiosity in visitors leaving them wanting to explore more, simply remarkable!
