Checking a well-visit off our back-to-school checklist! 🩺✏️ Before starting first grade, my son headed in for his annual checkup at @nemours , and it was such a sweet visit. Nurse Natalie made it extra special with the way she truly listened, asked questions, and connected with him. Their little conversations reminded me just how much Nemours truly goes #wellbeyondmedicine. We’ve trusted Nemours Primary Care since 2019, and over the years they’ve supported us through four kids, multiple outpatient procedures, and two overnight hospital stays. Every visit reinforces that they’re not just a healthcare provider, they’re a part of our village. If your child is entering kindergarten this year, you might have a checkup on your own back-to-school list! I hope this POV helps your little one feel confident and at ease. #wellbeyondmedicine #nemours #nemourschildrens #nemourschildrenshealth #pov #pediatrics #family #backtoschool #checkup #kindergarten #wellvisit #kids #nurse #partner

The dreaded six-letter word that no parent ever wants to hear: Cancer. Seven months ago, our world stopped when our son, Wesley, was diagnosed with leukemia. As parents, we’ve held each other through tears we didn’t know we had, watching our little boy fight the biggest battle of his young life. But this Jacksonville community, and the team at @nemours , carried us when we couldn’t stand, and now Wesley is on his way to full recovery. In honor of Wesley’s strength, our @fouroneforall Foundation will be launching ‘Four One For Hope’ and give back to four cancer-focused non-profits each month of the @nfl regular season. Every family deserves to feel the same love that saved us.

We were proud to celebrate the opening of our new Ambulatory Epilepsy Monitoring Unit- expanding access to specialized epilepsy care in our Central Florida community. This new space complements our existing 6-bed inpatient EMU, allowing us to reduce wait times, increase capacity, and provide care in the setting that best meets each patient's needs. For patients and families, this means faster diagnoses, more flexible care options, and access to advanced neurological services close to home.

When Alfred I. duPont passed away in 1935, he directed in his Last Will & Testament that a hospital for children be built on the grounds of his home, Nemours Estate. His widow, Jessie Ball duPont, dedicated herself to fulfilling his wishes, and within five years, The Alfred I. duPont Institute opened its doors, offering patients the comfort of French-style formal gardens and beautiful surroundings. Over the next three decades, the hospital and Estate were closely intertwined, with Mrs. duPont hosting patients and clinicians, and the Estate gardens providing fresh vegetables for the hospital cafeteria. Today, Nemours Estate and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, continue to partner in promoting wellness and wellbeing in the Delaware Valley, guided by Mr. duPont’s belief: “It has been my firm conviction throughout life that it is the duty of every one in this world to do what is within his power to alleviate human suffering." 🌺

❤️ Behind every woman, is an incredible story. ❤️ This Mother’s Day, we’re shining a light on Liz and Grace’s incredible story. When Liz received the unexpected news that her daughter had a complex diagnosis of skeletal dysplasia, uncertainty and anxiety swelled. But Liz found hope at our Institute for Maternal Fetal Health. “The Advanced Delivery Unit is a space where moms with unknowns can come and feel comfortable in their delivery experience,” Liz shares. “They weren’t afraid of our complicated delivery or our complex baby.” After researching the best care for her and her daughter’s case, Liz was hopeful when she came across Nemours. The Maternal Fetal Health team at Nemours stood by Liz every step of the way, providing the answers and support she needed during each consult visit. Their expertise and compassion made all the difference for Liz and her family. Grace is now 2 and hitting new milestones everyday. Today, we celebrate the love of mothers like Liz. 🌸

⚾️ From childhood dreams on the pitcher's mound to honoring hometown heroes on the field—what a night to remember at Nemours Family Night with the @phillies ! Cheers to young Jacob, who threw the first pitch, and Dr. Reid Nichols, who helped make his dream a reality! And a big thank you to the inspiring Javier Diaz, a decorated veteran and VP at the Moseley Institute, for spreading joy, hope, and community spirit. The Phillies honored his incredible leadership and impact, and the Phanatic made the night even more magical!
