Spring and early summer on Sivuqaq Island are such a special time in our Siberian Yupik communities. Kiigem Aghnaa (May) is when hunters harvest walrus, seals, and seabirds, while Pinaghvik (June) brings murre egg harvesting along the steep cliffs. This pair was inspired by murre egg season and the memories of home. I miss home so much.
