I love doing the markets, but there is a lot that goes into them.
You show up in all kinds of weather.
Sometimes all seasons in the same day.
There is lifting. Setting up. Packing down.

This week, with my back sore, I felt it even more.
But then something always brings me back.
The people who stop at the NEMDAE stall.
The people who come back.
The people who follow and support NEMDAE through the year.

That is the part I love most.
I am so grateful when I am packing online orders and sending bracelets out, but meeting people at the markets gives me another part of the story.

A few years ago, I knew I wanted to do something with my life.
I just didn’t know what that looked like yet.
One day, standing on a beach in Cork, I asked, What am I supposed to do?
Then I looked down and saw two black stones.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that moment became the beginning of NEMDAE.
Now, when I see those stones on my stand, they bring me back to that time when I was looking for direction.
And I feel lucky to have found something I truly love to do.
