This is a story of my dream to see the whales in the wild.
From Tasmania to Iceland…I kept arriving just a little too late. Meanwhile, others were spotting whales from their windows.
But somewhere along the way, I started choosing a different kind of travel: slower, more intentional, closer to nature, and more connected to people.
Since 2021 I’m using @homeexchangecom
in December 2025, in Tenerife… it finally happened. I saw the whales.

Мы много ели, ржали до ощущения пресса, гуляли, разговаривали о личном, обсудили всех друзей, были даже иглоукалывание и лимфодренажные зарядки. Отличное начало года.
The best decision in January was to spontaneously book the ticket, justifying it as my birthday month and going to spend several days with friends in Istanbul. I finally took my camera with me not for work but to save the moment. We went through a lot last year, were expecting to share tears, but instead were just laughing nonstop, having late-night acupuncture sessions, Turkish delights, and five-minute walks between snacks. Priceless
