đź“·. Honored to have my photo on the cover of @amnewyork print edition today in regard to coverage of recent ICE activity in Bushwick area and other parts two nights ago. My broken leg made covering difficult and short, almost unmanageable, but felt even more honored to see the community action in my neighborhood. The tragedy of the current broken immigration policy and actions continues, but the people of the city are becoming quicker and quicker at reacting to the violations of their neighbors, close and far, in effort to protect and help them where able. That is something all should reflect upon in the coming times ahead.

NY, NY (11/29/2025) - After another potential ICE raid on Canal Street was exposed and community members against ICE surrounded a government parking garage, the NYPD was deployed to clear the way for ICE to leave. Upon arrival NYPD would escalate leading to many violent arrests and ambulance being called. ICE didn’t apprehend anyone. A moment from the ordeal.

The newest elected mayor is the youngest mayor ever at 34, while also being the first Muslim and Asian American in the position. Activists were met with a small counter-protest. The rally focused on the history of Nakba and the need for greater rights, freedoms and liberation for Palestinians. No arrests were made at the peaceful protest.

📷. New York, NY (5/11/2026) - Tensions were constantly high as protestors from opposing sides clashed in a Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City, NY on May 12th, 2026. Protestors rallied outside a synagogue to protest an event being held there that sees the sale of Israeli Settlements in the West Bank and other areas, a practice considered illegal under international law. Pro-Palestine protestors and Pro-Israel counter protestors butted heads throughout the evening amid the city’s new buffer zone law. Multiple arrests were made and pepper spray was deployed by a pro-Israel protestor.

Police deployed an expansive perimeter for blocks as “The Great Israeli Real Estate Event 2026” took place at the Park East Synagogue. No arrests occurred although pepper spray was deployed by NYPD against Pro-Palestinian protestors, along with kettling of press at another point. Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration stated their opposition to the event taking place before it began.

Nypd kettle press after blocking once accessible and instructed sidewalk to traverse for all protestors during protest of a land sale of Palestinian land by Israelis that is considered illegal under international law. NYPD appeared to take a more maximalist approach enacting the new buffer zone law recently passed. Why land sales, especially those considered illegal under international law, are allowed to be held in a place of worship in NYC is still not known.
