Brooklyn restaurants offered a tasting of delicious eats in their Chef Showcase at BRIC House. The community raised over $35,000 last night in support of our mission to end hunger and poverty in central Brooklyn.

Last night’s Plates for Change Chef Showcase was absolutely beautiful! It was wonderful to be in BRIC House with so many of our supporters together in community.
We are thrilled to say that we raised over $35,000 last night in support of our mission to end hunger and poverty in central Brooklyn. The event was a beautiful celebration of our work, and it would not have been possible without the support of our incredible community here in Brooklyn!

It has been 449 days since Mayor Mamdani promised to drop the CityFHEPS lawsuit and expand access to housing vouchers for families living in shelter. It has been 35 days since the Mayor filed an appeal that blocks this expansion and delays families’ access to stable housing.
CityFHEPS is a proven program that helps families leave shelter for good and prevents homelessness before it starts. Every day this program is delayed, families remain in unstable housing and the city continues to spend millions on shelter costs.
We are joining our coalition partners to call on the Mayor to honor his promise, drop the legal challenge, and ensure CityFHEPS expansion moves forward. Families in New York City cannot wait any longer.

CityFHEPS vouchers help people get out of shelters and prevent evictions!
New article in @amnewyork features stories shared at our action at Gracie Mansion from VOCAL-NY leaders and allies who had their lives changed by vouchers. We need Mayor Mamdani to deliver on his campaign promises and drop the lawsuit. NYC must expand this program because we know it works!
