We’ve had quite a few new followers since my last “About Me” post, and a lot has been happening at Nefarious HQ, so I thought it was the perfect time to introduce myself and share a little about the ethos and future of Nefarious. Hi, I’m Adam — the director of Nefarious Interiors. I founded the studio in 2020 with a dream to create interiors with big personalities that bring joy, whether that’s a residential home or a neighbourhood restaurant. Every space we design aims to feel relaxed and welcoming, and throughout the process our clients can be as hands-on as they like or take a step back and trust us to bring everything together. No Nefarious design will ever be repeated. Every project is completely unique because the most interesting thing about any space is the people who inhabit it. Interiors should reflect that individuality — they should be extensions of us and spaces people can connect with and even have conversations about. Another important goal for me has always been making interior design more accessible — not just for those in the top percentage of wealth, but for people like my own family, who still deserve to come home to a space they truly love. On this Instagram page you’ll only see real projects completed by Nefarious as a portfolio of works and some behind the scenes action. Over the past couple of years we’ve been incredibly lucky to have been chosen as one of the first Next in Design studios, become a registered interior design studio with the BIID, and most recently be awarded “Best of Houzz”. We’ve also just photographed one of our most recent projects, so watch this space. At the moment we’re helping some returning clients with new projects as well as completing a commercial project in South London. We’re hoping the rest of the year continues in the same way the first part has — and always remember, the devil is in the detail. A new week a new project ⭐️ We are so excited to have the shots of a project that took over a year to complete. Here is a Victorian living room with a mid-century twist. For this North London home, designed for a young family relocating from the US, we reimagined the traditional double reception as a relaxed space for both living and play. Deep green walls highlight the original Victorian architecture, while warm woods, sculptural lighting and soft textures bring in the laid-back feel of mid-century American design. The result is what we like to call a mid-century / English Victorian love child — classic bones paired with rich materials, playful details and a space designed for everyday family life. 📸: @astridtemplier #interiordesign #victorianhome #midcenturymodern #londoninteriors #livingroom

From Bath To Shower 🚿 Continuing in the Main en-suite we decided a corner shower would be best due to the spaces small size. So we had our glass contractor design a bespoke glass and brass shower enclosure and installed inbuilt shower drain within the floor from @westonebathrooms to create a wall in wet room. This was possible due to the honed @starel_stones chequerboard “Emerador” flooring which we then continued on the wall but in a gloss finish maximum impact. The wall and joinery colour including the cistern enclosure continue from the previous post but for the controls we continued the brass theme and chose the “Faro” shower set from @houseofnosa for a more modern feel. We also don’t mind mixing a few variations of brass when designing bathrooms as when working in a budget not all items can come in the exact same colour so for the towel rail we chose the “Chatsworth” from @victorianplumbinguk . Bold bathrooms tiles for the win 🏆 📸: @astridtemplier #bathroominspo #bathroom #ensuite #ensuitedesign #tiledesign #shower #interiordesign #interiordesigner #london #inspo

From one open-plan space to a series of intentional moments. We reimagined this living/snug/kitchen area by introducing a bespoke sliding door, creating separation without losing flow or light. The soft blue-green palette carries through each room, bringing cohesion while allowing every corner its own personality, from the cosy snug and layered living room to the calm, light-filled kitchen. Thoughtful zoning, tactile materials and tonal colour drenching transformed the space into something that feels both connected and intimate. #InteriorDesign #PeriodHome #KitchenDesign #LivingRoomInspo #SnugRoom

Project Focus: Tennyson Terrace Before: A neglected two-storey terrace in Queens Park, stuck in the past and crying out for help. Think anaglypta covered walls, vinyl bathroom floors, and a kitchen straight out of another era… definitely not the forever home our client envisioned. After: A bold, personality-filled sanctuary designed for modern living, hosting, and sustainability 🌿 Our client saw what others didn’t which was a lot of potential. And together, we completely reimagined the space: ✨ Rear + loft extension for light, flow, and function ✨ A 21st-century transformation with eco-conscious choices ✨ A vibrant, eclectic interior reflecting a life full of creativity and connection From mid-century sideboards to minimalist art, every detail tells a story, their story. This is hands down one of our most dramatic before & afters yet and trust me, you’ll want to see what’s coming next 👀. 🏠 : @etheral_victorian 📷: @astridtemplier #BeforeAndAfter #HomeTransformation #QueensPark #InteriorDesign #RenovationJourney

Saturday Shots! We love this overall bedroom shot of a boys bedroom we shot earlier this year. Children’s bedrooms are some of our favorite spaces to design as we can be as creative as much as child’s mind is imaginative. We do also make sure the space can grow with the child, such as in this space the headboard can be retained when a double bed is installed and the shelves can go from displaying children’s books to study books and films! Spaces should be seen as adaptable and not something stone! 📸: @astridtemplier #kidsbedroom #kidsdecor #bedroom #interiordesigner #interiordesign

A Nursing Nook! 💛 🩵 For this nursery corner we wanted to create a space full of personality and details so that the everyday moments become special! We wanted to make the space feel whimsical by painting the skirting and windows in “Naples Yellow” whilst the cornice and the 5th wall (the ceiling) were painted in “Welmish Blue” both by @edwardbulmerpaint for a daisy day-drift feeling! For the nursing chair we wanted to have something comfortable with nice design details so chose the “Ottillie Armchair” from @loveyourhomeuk in “Stansted 01” by @titleyandmarr a soft stripe which adds pattern. The floral cushion we grabbed at the @chelseatextiles sample sale which we thought paired with the strawberry cabinet perfectly! For that touch of personality we had @sparrowandgrass create a bespoke wall tapestry including the name of the little one! A quiet moment for soft lullabies and memories in the making ☀️. 📸: @astridtemplier #nursery #nurserydesign #interiordesigner #kidsroomdecor #nurseryinspo

Sage green, rich walnut, aged brass - materials that feel lived in from day one. The L shaped island sits at the heart of it all, designed for slow mornings, long dinners, and everything that happens in between. Photography @astridtemplier Interior Design @nefarious_interior_design
