I’m still reeling. What an incredible night. Words can hardly hold the gratitude and love I feel inside.
As I pursue this career, the question often stares at me: what’s the point? To create music is a passion, but to sell it has been very a grueling and disturbing journey. I am still unclear how to navigate the commodification of myself, and without answer, I swallow one bite at a time. What I do know is creating music, sharing it, playing it, consuming it whole, is about connection. I want to connect with the people around me. That is the point. I’ve found that showing up to the world as yourself can be incredibly hard, but it doesn’t have to be lonely. There are so many amazing events in Boston and throughout history that I am endlessly inspired by who have paved the way for events like
@glambcage to exist. These kinds of spaces are sacred and you can never have too many, especially underneath the powers that be. Identity, art, expression, and community are keys to resistance.

@glambcage was a dream come true. To look around and see the love in the air was electric. To speak to so many people about what the night meant to them will stick with me forever.
