Meet Gilah!
Gilah (pronounced Ghee-lah) is an experimental shoegaze band based in NYC. Their latest mini LP, ‘From Where I’m Standing,’ blends shoegaze with slow-core and ambient textures while retaining an emphasis on sonic maximalism. ‘From Where I’m Standing’ was highlighted in Bandcamp Daily’s “Rare Shoegaze Gems From All Eras Unearthed” list for its experimental shoegaze sound in early 2023. While originating as the project of Gil Israel, the live band consists of Gil and deep friends and collaborators Connor Bush, Ned Sasi, and Gabe Silverman.
