Skateboarding teaches us a lot of lessons we can apply in everyday life, and this one is a prime example of not giving up no matter how many times you fail. These are only half of the attempts it took me to make it. It looks as if I have no idea what I’m doing haha. Then…the miracle happens from staying determined and committed no matter how defeated I felt and not to mention wanting to give up an hour after into trying. The moral of the story is never give up before the dream happens. You never know when it’s going to be the next try. I apply this process in every part of my life.
19 years ago today I finally surrendered and took this coin from a good group of men that helped change my life forever. The unfortunate reality is some of them didn’t make it out alive. But…to the ones that did are still in my life in some way shape or form. Thank you @tommycaudill for taking me to my first meeting and introducing me to a much easier better way of life. Anyone still suffering, not sure if you want to live or die, please reach out. I know the feeling, but there is a way out.
