Today has been pure shock and heartbreak… I don’t know that I’ve fully processed it all yet, so I’m not quite sure what to say. We lost this big sweet, deaf, annoying, loving, stinky, loud, absolutely perfect boy today. Just 3 days before his 13th birthday.
Over the last few months he’d been having seizures periodically, and this morning we were awakened to him in the middle of a very violent one. Then another, then another, then another. 7 total. We rushed him to the doctor and made the very difficult decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. After Silas, I no longer wanted to be selfish, and I knew it was the right decision.
He’s got some good company up there, however. And I take solace knowing he’s with his brother Silas having a new bone day for the rest of his life.
Rest easy, sweet boy. Your clip clopping around the house will be immensely missed. Thank you for 13 great years of unconditional love, there will never be another one like you. Say hi to Silas, Ivy, Baby, and Bullet for us. ❤️
