Get Ready for...THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE DEVON RED LEGGED ROBBER FLY! Performed on and around a mutated Apache Piper aircraft fuselage transformed into a giant fly! A spectacular performance including dance, theatre and aerial circus to tell you a story about an insect’s journey from pupae to metamorphosis and its search for love! We loved delivering workshops for @doorstep_arts to create flash mobs for the Bio Blitz back in July! The challenge was to bring maggots & metamorphosis to life for 4 yr old to 18 yr olds! Turns out you just have find your inner maggot! The Doorstep groups did so well & we had lots of giggles in the process. MOVE LIKE A FLY! 🪰 A physical theatre workshop 🎭 Join Maria, NDP Circus Co-Director for a workshop exploring all things maggot, metamorphosis & Robberfly! Weds 30/07 | 2.45-4.45pm | 📍SHERWELL UNITED CHURCH, PLYMOUTH £2 - Booking essential - click the link in our bio to book Using physical theatre and movement exercises, we will embody insects at all stages of their journey; from maggot to magnificent Robberfly! Expect to be rolling, gliding, jumping, turning. We will explore how to physicalise the speed of the Robberfly and how to develop a character through movement. No prev experience req’d. Aimed at 12-21yr olds, but all are welcome. Suitable for people with long term health conditions and physical disabilities, modifications will be given. If you are a wheelchair user and keen to participate, get in touch so we can discuss options. We had a blast at our Bio Build Workshop a couple of weeks ago! Big Ty to @doorstep_arts for organising & supporting. As you can see, the gang made some great insects from some unusual materials!
