As the curtain closes on Carolyn Dellâs time at Notre Dame, she canât help but reminisce on all her favorite memories.
Dancing backstage before every performance, listening for a crewmateâs âLetâs go, girlsâ as their cue to move a 15-foot puppet across a stage, and even coming back to her residence hall after long rehearsals to chat her first-year roommate, one of her closest friends.
Though she'll always feel a fondness for the people and productions that filled her time here, Carolyn said, she also feels prepared to start the next act of her life.
âNotre Dame really sets up arts majors to have a point of view on a subject,â she said. âAnd I think thatâs going to serve me very, very well going into the workforce.â

The Department of Film, Television, and Theatre is excited to announce the schedule for the 2026 - 2027 theatre season! Information on how to purchase tickets for these performances will be announced at a later date.
The Department is also incredibly excited to announce the student director for the 26/27 theatre season, Logan Schlitt! Schlitt will be directing the play âThese Shining Livesâ by Melanie Marnich. This play shares the historical story of a group of four women who worked as dial painters in the 1920s. However, they quickly become deathly ill due to the consumption of radium from the factoryâs paint. While fighting for their rights as workers and their lives as young feminists, these women learn to use their voices to demand justice, cherish their friendships, and live their lives to the fullest.
And lastly, we would also like to announce that the next New Works Lab musical will be âMoving Thomas Sullivanâ by Ben Warren Flynn! This story follows a young man who lives and performs music in a busy metropolitan train station. The station is a metaphor however, for the grief that keeps him stuck in place, while the people around him try to help him move forward.
Again, stay on the lookout for more information on when to purchase tickets for the 26/27 season! And donât forget to pick up your tickets for our final performance of the 25/26 season, âONCEâ!
NDFTT is excited to announce that in just SIX WEEKS we will be RETURNING to the Patricia George Decio Mainstage Theatre for our upcoming Spring musical, ONCE! đźđš
