It’s been so cute coming back to Joburg and running into these billboards from a campaign I did with @temsbaby for @hennessy sometime last year
Just been collecting film as I go so here’s a collection of them I’ve been shooting over a couple of months all over my favourite city
I also love that this whole campaign is about being made for more because exactly 🤭

I’ve lost count of how many times my heart exploded during Cape Town art week 🫣💓
and I can’t express how affirmed I am as a South African painter during this particular era of contemporary African Art.
Thank you to everyone that came to the @tilgaartfund pop up exhibition curated by @mpumi.mayisa and supported by @wole_bak at @southernguildgallery as part of the @investeccapetownartfair VIP program
💓
At first I was painting the things I wanted and imagining but now these look more like places I’ve been and I think that’s why I keep coming back to that way of working🪽

Thought I’d add my time at @bagfactoryart in collaboration with the @tilgaartfund to my photographic archive 💓
It marks a significant turning point in my practice and I can’t wait to show you what the lace lady is putting together 🤭

My friends and I talk about secretly buying a beach house together that our husbands won’t know about all the time, and you know how I keep saying painting is a medium for manifestation - that’s what happening here 🤭💕
She was exhibited at my solo exhibition titled For her dreams won’t just be dreams for much longer in Lagos in March this year

Thought I’d show you some progress images of paintings I started a short while ago, now I know I’ve mentioned this before but painting is really my medium for manifestation, and I’ve been dancing around the idea for a while but garden picnics with champagne and chit chats with the Italian mountainside behind me is a genuine summary of the script my life has been following this past weekend after I started these. It’s a magic trick. I think the universe watches me paint.
I’m gonna show you how things look before they’re complete more often 💕
I remember making a short series of sculptures at the Wits School of Arts in 2023 as a study of the materiality of lace as metaphor. Revisiting this side of my practice again sometime soon because seeing them outside of my studio was so re-energising.
