This is hands down the best style of exercise if you want flexibility, strength, performance, and injury prevention — all in one workout.
Instead of isolating muscles with “chest day” or “leg day,” I train specific lines and patterns of movement — exactly how the human body was designed to move.
Today I’m focusing on the powerful X-patterns in the body. These movements load and strengthen the glute on one side while lengthening and strengthening the opposite lat. It’s an incredible way to build flexibility in the hips and spine while strengthening the muscles around the hips, shoulders, and back.
I did 3 sets of each exercise, 30 seconds on each side.

I was over-served 🍻
We’ve all been there. It happens.
And honestly… sometimes that’s just part of my life.
I’m not perfect when it comes to health and wellness, but I’ve learned that balance is everything. After 20+ years in this industry, I truly believe it’s the most important thing you can focus on.
Wellness isn’t about perfection — it’s about balance.
Life is about balance.
Knowing how to enjoy yourself while still taking care of your body is a skill. Learning to listen to your body instead of forcing it into what you think it “should” do is what keeps you consistent long-term.
I see too many people stuck in the all-or-nothing mentality — doing intense challenges that just aren’t realistic for everyday life.

One of my favorite things is red light therapy.
Evidence from peer-reviewed research on photobiomodulation shows it can support cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and enhance mitochondrial function; helping the body regenerate and recover more efficiently (Hamblin, 2017; de Freitas & Hamblin, 2016).
The same body of research also reports improvements in collagen synthesis, circulation, and tissue healing, making it powerful not just for athletes, but for overall longevity and health (Avci et al., 2013; Barolet & Boucher, 2010).
And as we know, mitochondrial function is fundamental l! Mitochondria are the “powerhouse of the cell,” directly influencing how cells produce energy and respond to stress, which ultimately affects how the entire body performs and recovers.
Taking care of your body at the cellular level matters.
