In the newly released U.S. News & World Report college rankings, NC State’s CCEE programs reached new heights:
🔺Civil Engineering rose to #23 in the nation, now among the Top 25 in the U.S.
🔺 Environmental Engineering rose to #14 nationally, now ranked in the Top 15 programs in the U.S.
These accomplishments highlight the dedication of our faculty, the achievements of our outstanding students, and the impact of the life-changing research happening every day in our department. 👏
The NY Fed’s latest labor report ranked civil engineering as the BEST engineering discipline for employment—and one of the best majors overall. 📈 Our graduates don’t just dream big, they land big. 🏗️📊👩💻

We are so proud of our #NCStateCCEE graduate students who participated in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition this week! 👏
Each participant had just three minutes and one static visual slide to explain their research, and its significance to society. 🌎
🏆 Congratulations to Sarah Grace Lott for taking home the first place prize!
So many prospective students! 👏 #NCStateCCEE saw a record turnout at this spring’s College of Engineering Open House.
An estimated 600 people attended the information sessions focused on curriculum, career opportunities and the real-world impact of CCEE. 🧱🐺
We also had new, exciting demonstrations and games that highlighted how CCEE research positively impacts water systems, coastal environments, roadways and more. 🤝
This past weekend, our students with @copri_ncsu traveled to Bald Head Island with a mission of making the beach cleaner and its ecosystem healthier. 🏝️
The students spent hours in the scorching sun, removing trash and an invasive plant species, called Vitex, from the dunes.
